It gets hot in Utah!!

So the other night it was extremely hot outside and inside. We have a swap cooler, and it doesn't usually help much when it gets toooo hot or humid out... Then of course, being pregnant doesn't help the heat. Friday night I just could not cool down. When I went to get something out of the fridge I just decide to stay for a few minutes to cool down :)
One of our friends suggested I get a chair to sit there :D Hehehe... Great idea btw!!!

Let's try again

The last month we've been working on our car, or not really "we" but a shop, a friend's shop. http://www.fasttimesmotorsports.com/index.html 

Well, because of this we have some extra parts for sale. And yesterday we finally sold one of our parts. Some fuel injectors. So today I went out for a nice long bike ride. Today I did start the day off right with a good breakfast!! I packed up the part and got on my bike to the post office. I even got some other errands done on my 2 hour long adventure :) It was much nicer today. A little hot outside, but not too bad.
So things went a lot better today :) I like getting the exercise :)

I got good news today too. Our last part for the car is supposed to arrive today!! The mail here is super duper slow, but usually not this bad... The mailbox is still empty.. But, it will be awesome when we get it. It's rings, http://www.totalseal.com/ , total seal rings :) They're supposed to be awesome, Michael has always wanted some :)

It will be so nice to get the cobalt back :) We've missed it, and it's not fun to just have one car... And of course the mustang had to get a flat one day, and then the spark plug went. But we got those both fixed!! The tire we just filled with that "fix a flat" stuff. Awesome stuff!! http://www.redflarekits.com/11000

I'm happy today :) It'll be nice with another weekend!! Hmm... Wonder what we'll do this weekend... I'll let you know :) Have fun!! I know I will :D

Just a fun video

I caught Travis playing in his cage today :) Since I'm home a lot, we usually keep his cage open most of the day. Sometimes I'll close it up just to keep him with us for a bit :) Also, one of his favorite "toys" is to open the hatches :)
Btw, me and my Dad built the cage ourselves :) It's HUGE!! Which is awesome, he loves it, we love it, everybody's happy :D

The joy of pregnancy...........or not so much........

Well actually, the story starts yesterday. My husband comes home from work with news that our old mustang just blew out a spark plug. If you have ever seen a spark plug, I am sure you know they usually don't have any moving parts... So he asked me to ride my bike over to the local auto store to purchase a new spark plug so he could get to work. Easy enough... Well, since it was somewhere between 95-105 degrees outside at the time, I figured it wouldn't hurt to wait an hour or two for it to cool down a little bit. So we sat down, watched America's Got Talent (Awesome show!!), ate dinner, and absolutely totally forgot about the car in the garage with only 7 spark plugs.........

I woke up about 5 am to realize, oh no, I forgot.......... I couldn't sleep... Kinda mad at myself for forgetting...
By the time Michael was ready to get up I had figured out what time the auto shop would be open, sat a new alarm, and was ready with an apology.

So, finally at 7 am I got up, got dressed and got on my bike. I opened the garage to see rain drops forming on the driveway... Great... I run back to get my rain jacket and get going. The wind is picking up, my pants are soaked, I get to the store in about 10 min.

I get back home, get the spark plug in the car and says "Have a good day" to my Michael, who will now be more than an hour late for work, just cuz I forgot... (I'm so sorry!!)

I get me some water, sits down for about a minute... Then, my "happy 16 weeks pregnant" gift arrives... As my husband said "Baby gave you a 16 week present already this morning. The opportunity to pray to the porcelain goddess :P" 


I have now decided I am not going on a bike ride, in the rain, with the wind resisting you, early in the morning without eating anything first, ever again!!!!!!!!


The good thing is, my husband got to work safe and our car is as perfect as ever before :)

A little about me

My name is Leah, I am 24 years old, I am married to Michael and we're expecting our first baby in February, that is if you don't count our bird :) Travis is our Jenday Conure baby, he's almost 1 years old. I actually don't know his birthday, or hatchday as it's called.. Our bird is awesome though! When we first got him in December last year it took him a while to trust us, we both worked with him a lot. I'll tell you more about what we did later.
I am a Norwegian btw. You may ask how I ended up in America and I will definitely tell you that story :)

So yeah. I decided to start a blog. Why not. I want something to do and writing about my life, all the things I think about and do every day. And some if it might actually be helpful or useful to others too :)
